Hola a todos!
We have had our first full day in CR! We started bright and early at 7 with breakfast and were on our way to our first stop: INBio. A park created to show the biodiversity within CR. It was a great intro to what we will be seeing throughout the next week. We saw a 3toed sloth, butterflies, lizzards, ducks, frogs, caimans.....
We then boarded the bus for a trip to Poas Volcano. We were lucky to arrive before the clouds and saw the crater lake.
After one really long bus ride, we have arrived in La Fortuna. Tomorrow we will kayak, hike to a waterfall, and relax in the hottubs.
The students have been FANTASTIC!!!!! They are so flexible and friendly.
Our lunch humor for the day: Elliott was asked something by the waitress and he tried to answer in English. I asked him to speak in Spanish, but he replied with I can´t interpret that fast. However, Aisha pointed out she was actually speaking English to Elliott. Good times!
We are all doing well, healthy, and I believe quite happy!!
