Well, the first day was not what everyone expected. The morning flight left on time and everyone made the plane on time. But after pulling away from the Terminal the plane had to be brought back because it had mechanical problems. As a result, they missed their connecting flight in Atlanta. So instead of being in Costa Rica by noon like they had hoped, they caught the next flight out of Atlanta (6pm) and will be arriving about 9 hours later than they had hoped.
Peggy tells me that the kids were great today. They even did their homework in the airport. Each day someone tells the class about the next days activities. She mentioned they did a fantastic job. We can only hope that tomorrow has a more auspicious start, and I hope not to have to blog for the group after this.
I am really looking forward to hearing about their adventures and hopefully seeing some great pictures.
